has gotten
so much easier
since i stopped
pretending
that this was
real
and started ignoring
that we were
ever anything
more than
acquaintances.

i'd rather be
an enemy,
than hear you call
me friend,
but i don't want
to be friends,
and i don't want
to be enemies,
so we'll just
be.
