hoping for something
a light to guide me out
but still it hasn't come
regardless of screams and shouts
i'd say i can wait
but my patience runs thin
because losing all the time
causes all light to dim
and slowly but surely
i see it erase my sunshine
and slowly but surely
my heart grows more and more blind
