hidden amongst trees
are many secrets
we have tried to keep
but they crawl out of hiding
and show their ugly teeth
and spray out awful words
which were never intended
to touch the ears of
so many bystanders
but one cannot hope
to keep a secret forever
because like the many things
we wish to hold on to forever
we simply cannot
